Mulberry fruit 桑椹 (sang shen)
Mulberries are a common seasonal fruit available in some supermarkets. The fruit transitions from bright red to dark purple as it ripens, with the darker colour indicating it is ready to eat. The darker the mulberry, the greater its benefits for the kidneys. Mulberries are known to support the liver, heart and kidneys while also promoting good blood health.
