Chinese red dates 红枣 (hong zao)

Chinese red dates, also known as jujubes, are a seasonal fruit widely enjoyed for their nutritional value and popularity in cooking, especially in Asian households. They have a sweet flavour with a hint of mild sourness and can be consumed fresh, dried or brewed into tea. Red dates are known to support heart and spleen health, warm the body, and nourish the blood.
