Fiona is a Chinese tea culture instructor dedicated to sharing the rich traditions, history and artistry of tea. For her, tea is more than just a drink - it’s a bridge between cultures, a practice of mindfulness and a way to bring people together.

With more than 3 years of experience exploring global tea traditions Fiona loves helping other deepen their appreciation for tea. From selecting quality leaves to mastering brewing techniques and understanding tea’s cultural significance.

About this experience

In this workshop we will explore the philosophy of tea and wellness in everyday life. We will showcase 10 popular Chinese teas, their individual health properties and any precautions to take from a traditional Chinese medicine perspective.

• How to choose the most suitable tea for your body and general wellbeing:

Discover how traditional Chinese tea is effective for maintaining general wellbeing, digestion, cleansing the body, boosting immunity and energy preservation.

• How to choose tea in different seasons:

You will learn about seasonal tea culture and how to identify your body constitution (in TCM you will have a hot, cold, warm or cool constitution) and which type of tea is best suited for you each season.

• How to choose tea based on health and lifestyle needs:

Factors such as age, menopause or pregnancy, body shape and metabolism, digestive conditions and bowel movement, blood circulation and iron levels and blood pressure etc all can influence your choice of tea.

Chinese leaf, flower and fruit teas

This is a great opportunity to be able to taste and learn about 10 types of commonly used traditional Chinese teas.

You will be taught the daily way of preparing Chinese tea in a healthy way at home.
